Hello, and happy Friday!
I’ve heard from so many of you that my Edible Living Index is really helpful, and it’s been such fun seeing many of you cook from it more now that it’s organized. So, before we launch into another glorious fall weekend, I’m sending you this Fall Baking Index to use in much the same way.
It’s peak fall baking season—there are still raspberries and blackberries on our bushes, which means they’re still in many of your farmer’s markets, too—along with apples, pears, and the last of peaches and plums. Here’s everything: cozy, warming, delicious, and easy to pull together for weekend hosting or hunkering with your crew.
Just like I did with my last index, I want to help more of you access these recipes. To that end, I’m offering a 20% discount to sign up for unlimited access to all my recipe archives, travel guides, personal essays, and more this weekend. And if there’s something else you’d like as a perk for going paid, drop a comment below.
A reminder that if you subscribe during a “20% off forever” sale, you’ll be grandfathered into that annual rate, even if my subscription costs go up in the future. This nets out to $3/month, less than the cost of a Starbucks latte, for a bundle of delicious resources each month.
I hope this resource warms your table until the holiday season arrives. The Index is below, along with five more cozy recipes from other writers on Substack.
xx

These baked goods have me drooling! Can’t wait to try them. (And thank you for sharing my cider chicken recipe!)
I am going to attempt to make the Save the Day Spinach Pie without the cheese. I am well schooled in Phyllis dough, so no problems with that. It seems every savory recipe has cheese, yet I grew up with savory food without cheese.
