Right? Fun fun party trick!! As a kid I was obsessed with monkey bread--we only got to make it with my kooky aunt in a coffee can every few years when we visited. It wasn't my mom's thing, but I've forever been drawn to a pull apart which brings back those sweet memories of feeling free and wild with her.

I do think it's one of my best books and I dream about re-releasing it, as people weren't ready to be veg forward in 2012 when it published as they are now, 12 years later!!
Absolutely!! It just goes in too, not integral to the texture of the bread, it just adds flavor and umami (saltiness) on top—so consider adding extra flaky salt on top instead.
ABSOLUTEY DELICIOUS!! Perfect recipe! So easy to follow! I had a lot to do so my dough went the full 48 hours. I got fresh rosemary from my garden (it's taking over a corner!). Used flaky salt and that's all we needed to have delicious focaccia! Thank you!
