Hello,

This is a short and sweet note with a side dish to accompany all the Thanksgiving recipes I’m sharing this month. I’ve published this recipe before in my book Instant Family Meals, and a few press/media outlets have picked it up in the past (Goop, Pure Wow), but I’ve never shared it on my site. In the interest of giving you one-stop shopping via my Index and my easiest-ever Thanksgiving menu (coming this weekend!), it feels like it belongs here.

If you’re taking Thanksgiving on the road (see: How to Host Thanksgiving in a Rented Cabin), or even if you’re hosting at home and want to get ahead, it’s very easy to steam the squash in advance and make the agrodolce sauce in a small saucepan just minutes before the main event.

Without further ado, this stunning side is yours. Use it to round out your holiday menu, or make this before/after the big day when you don’t have time to think. It serves nicely alongside a turkey or fish main or can be stuffed with crumbled sweet Italian sausage and baked in the oven for a complete meal, as my mama made it.

With gratitude,

xx

Sarah
