Hi Betty! Funny, I am up late booking our tickets for our summer trip now! August, as per usual, though I dearly miss when we used to go in July for sour cherry season!
That breakfast is a work of art! I am actually going to make this right now for my family. I don’t have kumquats but what they don’t know they won’t miss!
I will also mention the photography is sensational.
I have several friends (4) not on Substack but I sent them this post - that is how much I love it!
I love hearing this, Sheryl. I hope they all love it (the kumquats are totally extra, I just happened to have a box of them this week!). Thank you for your kind words about the photography. I grabbed the one spot of sunshine before it slipped past that window. And finally, a HUGE thank you for sharing my work with your friends! That means so much, I can't tell you how much word of mouth helps me grow and support my family.
Right? I made a Black Forest Cake last summer for King Arthur Flour (for a forthcoming book, more on that soon), and I can't stop thinking about how much I love chocolate and cherries together ever since.
What a vibrant bowl!
Thank you for the note, Denise!
Really gorgeous, Sarah! I love how you dressed up this bowl. It makes eating such a pleasure, doesn't it? Btw, are you in Hungary yet???

Meggy! My friend Zsuzsi’s mom used to make a sour cherry cake!
Maggyespita! 🍒🍒 Our favorite!
Cherry and chocolate match made in heaven, all the better to start the day with!
If only I stopped there!! ❤️
Sounds delicious! And so many nourishing elements. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for the note and for reading, Mira! I hope you give it a try.

The title alone made me have to click!
